I am a member of the International Campaign for Tibet. Today and tomorrow are Tibet Lobby Day, the annual event for US citizens to contact their senators and representatives and let them know how important the support of the US government is to Tibetans and their struggle for autonomy from China.
This is the message I received earlier after sending an email to my senators and representative:
I just took action for Tibet by sending a message to my Members of Congress and hope you will do the same.
Your voice is needed to ensure that your representatives know you care deeply about the U.S. Government’s long-standing support for Tibet, now and in the future. Please send your message on Monday, February 28 or Tuesday, March 1, 2011 during Tibet Lobby Day so it will have the most impact.
I hope you will take action and spread the word. You can use this link to send a free message to your Senators and House Representative:
P.S. I hope you will also visit the ICT Action Alert center to see other actions you can take to help support Tibet.
If you are in the US, I hope you send a message by the end of Tuesday. If you are outside the US (or inside the US and wanting to do more), please visit the ICT Action Alert Center to see how you can help.
