This Week’s Reading

This Week’s Reading is back after a little break. I’ve been too busy to go to the library lately, but we found time today. Yay! For those who started reading this blog during the break, a little summary: When I make it to the library or bookstore, I list the books under the title “This Week’s Reading.” I usually read the books in the upcoming week and review some or all of them here on the blog. I also return to this post and mark finished by the books when I am done with them. I love comments on my reading choices and my reviews, too. So, without more ado, my reading for the next week or so (author listed after the book title):

Whispers in the Village: Rebecca Shaw — not going to finish, I skipped a couple books in the series (not in the library) and I just wasn’t enjoying it. I’m going to try to find the books I skipped and then return to this one.
Twelve Rooms with a View: Theresa Rebeck — I enjoyed her first book. I hope this 2nd one matches up. — not going to finish, it started dragging in the middle and I never got around to it — now it needs to be returned to the library. :(
Burning Lamp: Amanda Quick — This is 2nd in a series, I haven’t read the first and it wasn’t at the library. I hope it works out. I hate starting a series in the middle. — finished — Thank goodness, I didn’t really need the first book. A little cheesy in spots, but enjoyable.
Cat of the Century: Rita Mae Brown (& Sneaky Pie Brown) — I love this author & series, it’s been a long time waiting for the new one. I’m excited. — finished — another great book by Rita Mae Brown.

    • Oh, thank you hollowdoll. I’ve seen that one. I’m not taking it because I feel it’s more for people who do flash friday, and I don’t.

  2. I love the fact you don’t finish some books! I’m the same, but I always feel bad and try again. Sometimes it works, most of the time I realise why I stopped the first time!
