An addition to this week’s reading:
The Game — Laurie R. King: finished — excellent, of course.
I am working my way through Ms. King’s Mary Russell series and enjoying it very much. The game referred to in the title, is among other things, the Great Game for power played in India, Iran, and the surrounding region by England and Russia prior to World War II. (Read Kipling for more information on the Great Game in the nineteenth century. M.M. Kaye is good, too, but not with the sweeping sense of politics and more for the post-WWI era.)
